Why I Show Up at Local Events—And Why That’s Part of the Job

You’ve probably seen me out and about—at a local fundraiser, a school event, a community walk, or maybe just shaking hands at a small business expo. I get asked sometimes:
“Do lawyers really need to be at stuff like this?”

And my answer is always:
Yes. Especially this one.

Because showing up for my community isn’t a marketing strategy—it’s part of who I am, and how I run my law firm.

I Don’t Just Work Here—This Is Home

I’m not a billboard attorney popping into town. I live here. I raise my family here. I drive the same roads, shop at the same stores, and sit in the same bleachers cheering on local teams.

So when something’s happening in our town—whether it’s a street fair in Stuart, a car show in Fort Pierce, or a back-to-school drive in Port St. Lucie—I show up because I care. This community means something to me, and I want the people here to know that I’m not just in business for them—I’m in community with them.

Building Trust Starts with Being Present

Let’s be honest—hiring a lawyer is a big decision. You don’t want to choose someone you’ve never seen, never heard of, or can’t connect with.

When people meet me in person—face to face, not through an ad or a website—they get to see who I really am. They get to ask questions. They get to feel that I’m not just a guy in a suit—I’m a neighbor, a friend, and someone who genuinely wants to help.

Being present helps build trust. And in this work, trust matters more than anything.

It’s Not About Business Cards—It’s About Service

Sure, I’ll bring business cards. But that’s not why I’m there. I show up because people deserve to feel supported before they ever need a lawyer. I want to be someone they recognize when life gets tough. Someone they already know they can turn to when they’re hurt and overwhelmed.

It’s about making myself available. It’s about listening. And sometimes, it’s just about cheering people on and showing up for a good cause.

Supporting the Community Supports the People I Serve

Everything I do as a personal injury lawyer revolves around helping people rebuild after something hard. That mission doesn’t stop at the courthouse—it starts with how I show up every day in my own backyard.

Whether it's sponsoring a Little League team, donating school supplies, or helping a local organization raise money for a family in need—these are the things that matter.

Because when the community is strong, the people in it are stronger. And that helps everyone—especially those who need a little extra support after an accident.

Final Thoughts

To me, being a good lawyer means being a good neighbor. And that means showing up—not just in the office, but out in the world where real life happens.

So if you see me at a local event, come say hi. Ask questions. Tell me your story. And if the day ever comes when you or someone you love needs help after an accident, you’ll know exactly who to call.
